PHP Contact Forms
April 6, 2014
The Shackadelic site is now pretty much finished. Apart from the contact form.
I’m currently following this great tutorial:
http://tangledindesign.com/how-to-create-a-contact-form-using-html5-css3-and-php/
It’s difficult to test these things locally (well, with PHP you can’t – unless running MAMP or something similar), so I had to upload files onto a staging area online & tweak live there. At first I couldn’t get this to work but after inspection found that my page needed to be contact.php (os opposed to .html) – the email address / sender details details in PHP also needed changing.
I also changed (and styled via css) the “Thank you” / “Whoops” and Anti-spam messages in the PHP.
Works great now! 🙂
