Sketch 3
This app has gained a lot of positive feedback over the last 2 years – particularly with the UI crowd. I went ahead & purchased this today & I have to say it has some very useful features – multiple artboards / canvases is incredibly potent for mocking up different states of an interface.
It is very focused on mobile UI design (iOS in particular), but as with a lot of new-school apps out there, the basics are not quite right yet. Annoying things like the zoom being fixed to 25%, 50% or 100% is enough to make me scream – what if I want 65% zoom so I can see the entire canvas and toolbars on my 13″ screen? Well I can’t. I’m not sure about the “Insert” menu either. A toolbar may have been better.
It does have some great features (the “export” options are killer – retina-ready png, svg, you name it) and I do like it – I’m just not sure if I’m ready to go completely “Adobe-less” just yet.
